It's been very good to have some company here and there over the last week. I do like the degree of privacy I can get living here but old friends are always welcome. Nothing has been broken, Genichirou will be pleased to know. Considering the persons involved the visit went remarkably smoothly. I do confess I find myself almost suspcious, although of course I say this with affection.

Akaya commented that I need a cat or a dog. I have never been much of a dog person, but a cat... hm. (Melon-chan would probably not appreciate it, though.)

It really is a little odd to realise how near the end of something we are here.

Of course I hope that many of the things we have started here will continue for years to come, but a chapter is ending, all the same.

Somehow, life has been a little quiet lately. I never thought I would object to quietness, but I suppose there are different sorts. On one level I have been very busy, but on others...

I agree with Yagyuu, too; it does feel rather odd to be in limbo, with a fair expectation of what one's future will hold but no certainty. In a sense I feel very much between things. A lot has already changed this year and there is a lot more change to come.

Genichirou, might you have some free time this weekend? I think I am thinking too much, improbable as that sounds coming from me.

Our game appears to have fallen rather by the wayside, Yagyuu. Shall we continue? If you are not too busy apportioning blame for your common cold, that is.

Life has been a little uneventful lately; a lot of work and not much else to report.

The masquerade was thoroughly enjoyable, and this week has been just as good. I will see you all next week. This year seems to be going by awfully fast...

I'm not sure who thought it was a good idea to get a dog and then fail to train it correctly. I'm just glad most of my books are at school or on high shelves...

Genichirou, I hope you're not dead yet. If you can survive until tonight then you're invited to mine. I refuse to spend more time getting slobbered on by a dog without backup.

Yes, Genichirou, I am using it as a doorstop, and may later use it as a paperweight, a piece of a zen garden, a grinding stone, and anything else I can think of until it is sufficiently sorry. Please consider this before leaving it in places where it could disrupt someone's zen by causing them to trip over it in the middle of the night cause inconvenience.

If I seem tired it's because Genichirou refused to turn off the television last night. Not that I can particularly blame him; it was an excellent match.

It makes me somewhat sad that this season will likely be my last playing in tournaments, but there are other things to focus on. Still, tennis has been so important for so long...

This week could be accurately described as unpleasant. I feel my calm is beginning to be tested.

This really is a job that calls for full protective clothing. I suppose I may be able to find a way to justify a biohazard suit as a tennis club expense if I turn my mind to it.

Akaya, I have a great deal of work to do tonight, but perhaps tomorrow or wednesday.

Well, I think we've established that Genichirou is physically incapable of spending a weekend being lazy. I think he might even have forced Akaya come over if Akaya hadn't been on a date at the time. I suppose it must be true that he likes pain.
